Supporting Foundations

Sometimes in life we get involved in “what we are doing” at that moment, whether it be education, careers, or starting up a company. We forget sometimes to look out the front door and see what is going on around us, and there is plenty. So with our ability to feed people and the facility to accommodate, we decided to share what we can in supporting these three foundations.

The Briana Project was formed by a beautiful young lady, Briana Blackwelder. She was my daughter’s midwife and very dear friend. She lost her life in a car accident at the age of 28. A life lost to many. I only saw Briana 4 times, but it felt like a life-time. The effect she had on so many people, especially women, was cherished and her passion for women lives on through those who were blessed to be a part of her life.

Both The Hope for the Children and Operation Underground Railroad were charity dinners that we were asked to be a part of. You cannot help but be moved within minutes of hearing their missions. It is impossible to forget the effect that these foundations are having on the children here and all over the world and not be drawn in to help in some way. Every effort counts.

The Briana Project

The Briana Project

The Briana Project stems from the belief that all women deserve a safe space, respectful care, and the tools to build a meaningful life.  At our core we are the same: we are women. We are women in search of compassionate, safe medical care, an opportunity to be heard and to heal, and the continued support necessary to build a foundation where we can thrive. This is our common ground.”

The local Briana Project is a Mobile Maternal Health Clinic serving the homeless, undocumented, and refugee populations in the Salt Lake Valley.

We offer continuity of care, supporting women through prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum, as well as mental health services and ongoing education on parenting and life skills. We believe this model provides the best possible outcome for the women we are serving, their families, and our community as a whole.  Learn more…

A Child’s Hope Foundation

Every child deserves a family—whether it’s a birth family, adopted family, foster family, or even inside a family-style orphanage. Millions of children worldwide need the care and support that only a family can give.  A Child’s Hope Foundation relights the flame of hope in children’s hearts by helping them find the real meaning of family in whatever their unique circumstances.  Learn More….

Operation Underground Railroad

The mission is straightforward: using cutting-edge computer technology and human intelligence, OUR undercover teams of former CIA and Special Operations personnel go into the darkest corners of the world to help liberate enslaved children and dismantle the criminal networks.

OUR operatives have dedicated their lives to rescuing enslaved children throughout the world, always with the invitation and permission of local governments.

Part of the mission of OUR is to shine a light on the ugly issue of sex slavery in order to root it out. Raising awareness will help people rise up against modern slavery the way that they have in the past. Learn more….

Dear Rebecca and Rick:
Thank you very much for your wonderful service, professionalism, preparations, presentation, delectables, clean up, dependability, last Friday. The menu was perfect and many compliments. It was a special night with a lot of people and celebrity for a wonderful and unique cause. I’ve been thinking about it and how well things went, mainly because of you. I love that menu. You are the best. Thank you very much, Scott and Karen.
